About Dražen Štader

I was born in 1975, in Banja Luka, BiH, I’ve got a degree in film and television directing at the Slovenian national Academy for Film and Television and I am an irreversible film addict. I love films, I love music videos, I love commercials and I most definitely love documentaries. That's why I am doing all of it. My goal is to keep it fresh and funky and as a director help find the best possible crew for each project, keep costs reasonable and achieve maximum pleasure.

I work as a hired professional; I collaborate with best production companies, I am in touch with the most creative people in the market, and I am always looking for new challenges, daring subjects and fresh approaches.

2006 - In preproduction: High School - A teenage thriller drama set behind the closed doors of today’s High Schools.

2006 - In postproduction a feature length documentary movie entitled: Paradise TV Japan. A highly anticipated follow up to the successful Honeymoon.

2006 - Honeymoon - Feature film documentary about a crazy Japanese 24 hour sex tv - station.

2005 - Rudi Omota: Prezrto poglavje slovenske kinematografije / Hidden chapter of the Slovenian Film: Rudi Omota (medium length 60') - Special jury award for film achievement at the Slovenian film festival 2005

2003 - Made in China (kratki) / Made in China (short) - winner of script competition of the Goethe Institute in Belgrade, in competition at the international festivals in Stuttgart 2003, Alpe Adria - Trieste 2004

2002 - Orgazmus (kratki) / Orgasmus (short) - Award for the best film of the region at the international student film festival in Belgrade (many student festivals across the globe among them Munchen)

2001 - Sladko življenje / Sweet Life (tv drama) - National France Presern's award, given for best student work

2000 - Žile / Veins (short) - Vesna for the best Slovenian student film Slovenian National Film Festival, finalist of the international short film festival Golden Lion in Tai Pei, other festival (Munich student film festival, Helsinki)

1999 - V tranzitu / In Transit (short documentary) - special president of the jury award at the international film festival in Munich given by Fridrik Thor Fridriksson (other festivals: Rio De Janeiro, Tel Aviv, Bologna, Amsterdam, Krakow, Premiers Plans Festival d'Angers)
